On the first day of voting by the general public, about 3,500 people cast a vote for their favorite artist in the SpiritSong Talent Competition. There are 47 artists who have entered this competition. The Top 5 Finalists will be decided by popular vote after 1 week of voting.

Each person - friends, family and fans - may vote once a day - or once in a 24 hour period - for seven days. The general public may listen to samples of each artist's music online, read their biography and even watch an optional music video.
