JOSHUA SCALES has always had a passion for music and performing since a very young age; the 25-year-old Dayton, OH. native grew up being intrigued by "the Motown Sound" by his father. He would emulate his favorite groups and artists, and sang in choir throughout school, and in church. He was introduced to the Christian music genre by his Godmother. After being inspired by a Christian rap artist by the name of T-BONE, he began to write and perform raps as well. This proceeded with various local talent show performances. In February of 2013, Joshua witnessed a passion for God gathered in one place like he had never seen before; it was at the critically-acclaimed annual Christian music tour, WINTERJAM. A more relatable, and contemporary sound in the music sparked something in him through the likes of artists such as: ROYAL TAILOR, JAMIE-GRACE, and TOBYMAC...THIS would be his new venture. Most recently he volunteered with TobyMac in March 2015, and happened to get the chance to meet him. Toby did him the honor of "plugging" his debut performance at THE UNDERGROUND (Cincinnati, OH.) in a video. Scales continues to stay faithful on his spiritual walk, and hopes to inspire and motivate anyone he can, with every new opportunity.
