Samuel Day

Samuel Day has received airplay from Cincinnati's top rock stations, WEBN and 96Rock, as well as WAIF fm and WUDR.
He began his musical journey in his single digits. Writing led him to music production, which started with only a Packard-Bell chat mic and and a home PC. Fast forward a few years and a lot of learning later, and Day was producing, mixing, and mastering for bands in and out of state, including heavy metal, funk, and hip-hop acts, contributing arrangements and performances to their projects as well as guesting with them live. All while playing saxophone in UD's top jazz band, and being a church pianist/vocalist/guitarist. During this time he also became the President of UD's StreetSounds Recording Studio, doing everything from from being on major event committees to schlepping equipment. And despite the demanding schedule of a commuter/music major/producer, the dream remained alive.
Day's music has been performed at pop and rock concerts, composer's recitals (such as his saxophone quartet "Four Heroes"), and jazz concerts, such as when he created four arrangements of his rock music for a full big band. It was a rock/big band crossover event full of surprising cohesiveness. His debut EP "The Spark" has experienced an energetic reception, he has been asked to headline at The Underground in Cincinnati, and opened up for American Idol top 10-er Colton Dixon.
Day sings and plays the piano, guitar, bass, sax, and drums and is a proficient songwriter, but also has an excellent live band comprised of multi-instrumentalist Michael Cerrone, as well as prodigious guitarist Larry Beavan.
